The Hall's "Mission Statement"

“The Hall will provide a facility for social, sporting, recreational or other appropriate events, for the benefit of the residents of Winson, Coln Rogers, Calcot, Coln St Dennis and Fossebridge (“The Valley”).   The Hall will aim to meet its annual running costs by a) hosting social events for the Valley and b) charging for private Hire of the Hall, where possible limiting these Hires to within the Valley; in order to contribute to the running costs of the Hall, from time to time and where appropriate, income will be sought from Hires outside the Valley.”

In practice this means that our Policy for "non-Valley" events is that we welcome those from beyond our Valley boundaries to enjoy the use of our Hall. However we have to balance this with the interests of our own community. Therefore

1. We cannot take more than a certain number of outside bookings in advance as this would restrict the availability of the Hall for Valley residents requiring bookings at shorter notice.

2. We also have to restrict the number and frequency of events which intrude upon the quiet nature of the Hall and its surroundings, especially if those events present parking problems due to a large number of vehicles being present.
